Children
At Heritage Baptist Church, we truly believe that “children are an heritage of the LORD” (Psalm 127:3). Each child is a precious gift from God to their families. Our church is here to help children and their families in any way that we can.
Sunday School
We have online Sunday school every week for children aged five to fifteen. The online classes are led by teachers who passionately believe that every child should be able to come to Christ (Matthew 19:14).

Chapel
There is a need to consider shifting our focus to family ministry, and the potential support we will need to provide as we transit to family ministry. In other words, Chapel would need to morph into family ministry until it is safe for kids to be close and in-person again in their own ministry space. With godly families that are raising a godly seed (Malachi 2:15), we can then have a truly fruitful church. As someone has said, “Strong churches don’t make strong families. Strong families make strong churches.”
Hence, for those who are interested, parent training will be provided in the form of Parents’ Seminars conducted, the mode of which is contingent upon prevailing COVID-19 regulations:
General
- How to lose your child before he is five.
- Continuing through adolescence.
- What if the kids are already rebellious?
- Help for families facing spiritual crisis.
Specific
- Television – slippery slope and practical suggestions.
- Spiritual safety from social media requires building the right kind of home.
- What parents should know about rock music.
In addition, plans are underway to provide parents with DIY (“Do It Yourself”) lesson plans that they can use to teach their children one-on-one, similar to those previously provided to parents who had children of Preschool Chapel age (K2 and below) and/or Primary Chapel age (P1 to P3).
Vacation Bible School
During pre-COVID days, we also had special events like our Vacation Bible School, where children spend a week learning about God and His Word through fun and engaging lessons, songs, and games!
