The Heritage Baptist School of Theology is one of the teaching ministries of Heritage Baptist Church. Our purpose is to prepare those whom God has called to serve Him more effectively. Whether for the pastorate or as a missionary or in the local church as a leader, Sunday school teacher, or any member who desires to “grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ” (cf. 2 Peter 3:18), HBST seeks to provide opportunities to study the life-changing Word of God and apply its precepts to our daily lives.
Our schedule is on a semester basis, and is arranged so that the student can take one, two, three, or all four of the courses offered each semester.
Classes are conducted on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings in order to accommodate those who are working during the day. At times, day classes are offered as well, depending on the need.
It should be noted that we are not officially registered with the government of Singapore, therefore, are not able to sponsor student visas. However, over the years we have trained those who have had work permits here, who were diligent enough to fulfill their obligation to their employers, and still receive training in our School of Theology after their workday was finished. To those who earn at least sixty-four credits we give the degree of Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies. Those who earn thirty-two credits receive a Certificate of Practical Church Ministry.
