Purpose and Strategy
“Whether therefor ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” – 1 Corinthians 10:31
In this passage of Scripture, the Apostle Paul clearly defined both our purpose and our strategy – i.e., it is our sincere desire that our teaching, our preaching, and our worship might cause our Heavenly Father to be honored and glorified. Therefore, with that in mind, may we state:
To meet the ever changing needs of the people in our community with the constant, and unchanging, truths of God’s Holy Word, the Bible. The end result is that unbelievers might be saved from the terrible penalty of their sin; that believers might be grounded in the faith and fully equipped for service and ministry; and that – above all else – our Heavenly Father might be glorified.
“Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit …” – John 15:8
To be carefully teaching and preaching the Word of God, to be actively involved in personal soul winning, to be diligently training Christian men and women to do the work of the ministry, and, to be faithfully sending out missionaries to carry the message of Jesus Christ to the uttermost parts of the earth as our Lord has commanded.
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” – Acts 1:8
